Head of School

"What Torfield has also done is to make him happier and more confident, with a real chance of a measure of independence in the future… Each week, I see him improving step by step and it is hard to express how much that means"
Billie-Jo Hancock and her partner Daniel live in Hastings with their sons Roman, five and Sole, four.

"For my own part, the schools never cease to impress. The atmosphere is friendly, calm and purposeful. Greetings from staff and pupils are warm and genuine. The impact of this is the development of the culture of the academy trust and in my opinion that culture is exceptional."
Craig Pamphilon, School External Advisor Annual Report July 2017

Torfield School caters for children and young people who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Torfield is designated by the local authority as a special school for pupils with autism and associated Communication and Language Difficulties (ACLD). In practice this means a large number of our children have ASD. However a significant number of pupils also have speech, language and communication difficulties and other complex SEN.

We hope that you find all the information required within our website. However if you do have further questions or would like to talk to a member of staff, please do not hesitate to contact our school office who will be happy to help you.
